It was a wonderful turnout and a beautiful gift from a client to others also on a healing journey. The beauty of our Center is watching those served support each other. Thank you to the one who opened his heart to provide the opportunity and to those who attended. The balance of learning how to “give and take” promote healthier connections. After experiencing a traumatic event or events, a persons brain and body can be get “stuck” in a state of hyper-arousal which can create big emotional responses, impede sleep, and contribute to unhealthy behavioral reactions to name a few. Offering children in trauma recovery a physical outlet of movement is beneficial to help restore balance to their nervous systems and reinforces the brain-body connection.
