Self-harm is often misunderstood. For many people, it isn’t about wanting to die — it’s about trying to cope with overwhelming emotions, numbness, or pain they don’t know how to express yet. Shame and secrecy keep people silent, but healing starts when we replace judgment with compassion.

• You are not broken — you need support and safer coping tools
• You are not alone — help exists and recovery is possible
