September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day

Today, and on every other day, we come together to raise awareness, reduce stigma and remind one another that every life matters! This year’s theme (2025) is “Changing the Narrative: Compassion, Hope and Action.” Let us use our voices to remind others that asking for help is a sign of strength- not weakness!

Suicide is a leading cause of death worldwide- and is preventable! Each year, an estimated 720,000 people die by suicide worldwide — with devastating and far-reaching impacts on families, friends, workplaces, and communities, highlighting the urgent need for prevention, support, and systemic change! Every 40 seconds, someone in the world dies by suicide.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that you are not alone. In the US, dial 988 to connect with the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Together, we can shine a light of hope, encourage open conversations, and be there for one another!
