<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today is a regulation and recharge day. Not every healing moment is loud or visible. Sometimes recovery looks like rest, quiet, boundaries, deep breaths, hydration, movement, grounding, or simply giving your nervous system a chance to feel safe again.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Living with PTSD can mean carrying stress long after the danger has passed. That’s why emotional regulation and intentional rest matter. Healing is not laziness. Slowing down is not failure. Taking care of yourself is part of recovery.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This week, let’s choose compassion over judgement — for ourselves and for others whose battles may not be visible.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rest. Reset. Regulate. Recharge.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today we wear teal to stand with survivors, honor resilience, and raise awareness for PTSD.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder affects millions of people — including veterans, first responders; survivors of abuse, accidents, loss, and other traumatic experiences. Healing is not always visible, and no one should have to struggle alone.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At Center for Hope and Healing, wearing teal represents support, compassion, hope, and the commitment to creating safe spaces for healing and understanding. Together, we can break the stigma around mental health and remind others that help and hope are always available.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">PTSD Awareness is about more than recognizing trauma — it’s about understanding the courage it takes to heal.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At its core, resiliency is not pretending everything is okay. To Center for Hope and Healing, resiliency looks like people continuing forward despite challenges, leaning on support systems, speaking openly about mental health, and choosing growth through adversity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every story matters. Every step toward healing matters. And every person deserve compassion, support, and understanding.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Together we can break the stigma, encourage conversations, and reminds people those affected by PTSD that they are not alone.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">PTSD is more than flashbacks or what you see in movies.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes it looks like:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Being constantly on edge</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Difficulty sleeping</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Avoiding certain places or conversations Feeling emotionally numb</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Irritability, anxiety, or exhaustion from always feeling “alert”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At Center for Hope and Healing, we believe trauma-informed care creates space for healing without judgement. You do not have to “just get over it,” and you do not have to navigate it alone.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meet Rebecca Singer — a therapist with compassion, humor, and a love for helping others grow. <img decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="💙" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tb/2/16/1f499.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What inspired Rebecca to become a therapist?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rebecca says she feels like she’s always been a therapist, even from a young age. “I really didn’t/don’t know anything else. I guess you could say I was born a therapist.” <img decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🌱" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t8/2/16/1f331.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Her favorite part about working with clients:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rebecca loves helping others, but what she treasures most is how much she learns from every client she meets. She believes therapy is a shared experience where growth happens together, helping clients build confidence and self-compassion along the way.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Therapeutic approach she connects with most:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="✨" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t75/2/16/2728.png"> Eclectic Therapy <img decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="✨" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t75/2/16/2728.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rebecca believes many therapeutic approaches have value and enjoys tailoring treatment to each person’s needs — while also incorporating humor into the process because healing doesn’t always have to be so serious.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of her goals this year:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="📚" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/te8/2/16/1f4da.png"> Completing EMDR training and Level 1 certification.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Favorite way to practice self-care:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🐱" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t49/2/16/1f431.png"> Curling up with her purring cats and reading while enjoying nature outside the window — birds, clouds, and peaceful moments included.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Favorites:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🎬" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tcc/2/16/1f3ac.png"> “Grumpy Old Men” &amp; “Grumpier Old Men”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="📖" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t3d/2/16/1f4d6.png"> “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” — a powerful story with meaningful therapeutic messages.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dream travel destination:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="❄️" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/taf/2/16/2744.png"> Alaska — especially by train with an open-top roof to see the stars, Northern Lights, and snow falling.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fun fact about Rebecca:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even though heights make her dizzy and nauseous… she absolutely LOVES parasailing and plans to do it again! <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🌊" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t5b/2/16/1f30a.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And the ultimate question…</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🐱" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t49/2/16/1f431.png"> or <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🐶" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tce/2/16/1f436.png">?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">CATS! “What’s not to love about them????”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">(Though she admits dogs are cool too <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="😉" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tf6/2/16/1f609.png">)</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you’ve visited Rebecca’s office, you’ve probably already noticed the cat décor and cat shoes she proudly wears daily. <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="💚" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t33/2/16/1f49a.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">DON&#8217;T MISS OUT! Wednesday; June 3rd and June 10th</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">from 6-7:30 PM. This is a 2 part group process!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Therapeutic Art Group: Zentangle/Mandalas: Diana Robinson and John Davis</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Current Clients: Sign up through administrative support or email Toni at tshearer@c4hh.com</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Non-clients: $25.00 per group fee. Sign up through email to Toni at tshearer@c4hh.com</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This therapeutic art group for ages 16+ invites participants to explore healing, mindfulness, and self-expression through the creative practice of Zentangle and Mandala art. These structured yet calming art forms encourage focus, grounding, emotional regulation, and present-moment awareness while providing a gentle outlet for stress reduction and self-reflection.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Research continues to support the clinical connection between creative expression, mindfulness-based practices, and improvements in anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma symptoms, and overall mental wellness. The repetitive patterns and intentional design process used in Zentangle and Mandala work can help calm the nervous system, increase concentration, promote relaxation, and create a greater sense of inner balance and self-awareness.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No artistic experience is needed — only a willingness to slow down, create, and engage in a supportive and judgment-free environment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Tonight, we showed up, stepped outside our comfort zones, challenged ourselves, and had a lot of fun doing it! <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="💪" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tb/2/16/1f4aa.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🥊" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t5d/2/16/1f94a.png"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you’ve ever thought about trying Combat Fitness or kickboxing, consider this your sign. You don’t have to be experienced, athletic, or “in shape” to start. You just have to be willing to take that first step.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most powerful things we can do for our mental and emotional well-being is move our bodies. Stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life’s challenges can leave us feeling stuck, but movement has a way of shifting energy, releasing tension, and reminding us of our strength.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Just look at the smiles afterward! <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="😊" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t1e/2/16/1f60a.png"> Sometimes the hardest part is showing up, but the reward is often feeling stronger, lighter, and more empowered than when you arrived.</p>

Change your energy. You might be surprised by what you’re capable of. <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="❤️" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/ted/2/16/2764.png"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/combatfitness?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#CombatFitness</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/mindbodyhealing?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#MindBodyHealing</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/traumainformedwellness?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#TraumaInformedWellness</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/movetoheal?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#MoveToHeal</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/centerforhopeandhealing?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#CenterForHopeAndHealing</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/strongerthanyouthink?__cft__[0]=AZZDvk0vdpDXT3qHf8I-Z4MaM5KAom5QAYD6DPL0doQAHBxIP3oq1inmh1a_riQNerhnsJ6Hispa-bzbg2zxZPFcdhMMMaeOsQaT5epiRjG8BymMHKwH5saHQs4nBnOME8SpjGbOXSHHVYs47Bpu4LyjwCFxzqeNMNQctfj-qTS2-0k9i7Zp7Habbph0JD4APlk&amp;__tn__=*NK-R">#StrongerThanYouThink</a><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="🥊" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t5d/2/16/1f94a.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="💪" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tb/2/16/1f4aa.png"><img decoding="async" height="16" width="16" alt="✨" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t75/2/16/2728.png"></p>
